As drought conditions linger into the first weeks of the 2021 fall season in southwestern North Dakota, fires continue to an issue for local first responders. On Thursday, West Dunn Fire Rescue responded to a fire resulting from hay bales.
Manning grassland fire 50% contained, residents allowed to return

A fire burning near Manning has been partially suppressed with emergency responders reporting 50% containment as of 7 p.m. Friday, April 30. All Manning residents evacuated have been authorized to return to their homes, according to West Dunn Fire Chief Ryan Hauck.
