LIMA A Delphos woman charged with three counts of selling methamphetamine to undercover law enforcement agents accepted a deal from prosecutors on Wednesday.
Dianna Backus, 39, was indicted by a grand jury in April on charges of second-, third- and fourth-degree felony counts of aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine.
The indictment alleges that Backus sold or offered for sale various amounts of meth in June and July of last year.

LIMA Two people were taken into custody Friday after suspected fentanyl, marijuana and weapons were found during searches at residences on Collett and Metcalf streets in Lima, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday afternoon.
The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, assisted by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, served related search warrants at 619 N. Collett St. and 2219 N. Metcalf St. as part of an ongoing investigation of fentanyl pressed pills in the Allen County region.
Prior to the execution of the search warrants, Trayvon Thomas, 34, and Jakqueta Hollman, 40, were taken into custody on narcotics charges related to the investigation.

Jaishaun Ball, 33, of Lima, was sentenced Thursday to a minimum of 15 1/2 years in prison following his conviction by a jury earlier this year as a major drug offender.

LIMA – A Lima man convicted by an Allen County jury earlier this year on six drug- and weapons-related charges was sentenced Thursday to more than 15 years in prison.
Jaishaun M. Ball, 33, was found guilty at his trial in March of three counts of trafficking in cocaine, fourth-degree felonies; one count of possession of cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree; and one count of having a weapon under disability, a third-degree felony.

LIMA A Lima man was taken into custody last week after a SWAT team found drugs, weapons and money in his residence.
According to information released Wednesday by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, assisted by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, served a narcotics-related search warrant at 617 S. Scott St. on April 8.
During the search of the residence suspected crack cocaine, a semi-automatic pistol, drug paraphernalia and $1,506 in U.S. currency was located. The resident, Hubert E. Hankinson, 41, was taken into custody at the scene.
