OCPD Arrests Man Involved In NW OKC Slow-Speed Chase

OKLAHOMA CITY - A man is in custody after he was pursued by officers in a slow-speed chase just before noon Friday. Oklahoma City police said the man reportedly left the scene of a traffic stop in northwest OKC. The incident happened near Northwest 63rd Street and North May Avenue. Authorities said the man refused to give an officer his identification and then proceeded to leave the scene at a slow speed. The slow-speed chase appeared to come to a close when the man s vehicle drove over stop sticks placed by officers and pulled into a parking lot. After officers pulled into the lot behind the man, he get out of his car and exchanged words with officers from a considerable distance.

Firefighters Battle House Fire In The Village

By: News 9 THE VILLAGE, Okla. - Fire crews said a homeowner managed to get out of his house safely and call 911 after noticing smoke Tuesday. Firefighters responded to the home located in the 2900 block of Kent Drive between West Hefner Road and West Britton Road in The Village. The Oklahoma City Fire Department and The Nichols Hills Fire Department were called to assist The Village with battling the fire. According to officials, the fire damage was contained to the attic, The cause remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
