A teenage girl who died after being hit by a car while crossing the road may have misinterpreted a “complicated” crossing system, an inquest heard.
Alisha Webster died in hospital almost a week after being struck by a vehicle on Sunderland’s Wessington Way last year.
The 15-year-old was heading towards Sainsbury’s after crossing the Northern Spire Bridge at around 4.25pm on February 19.
