Chippenham: Parts of a Chippenham road will close this week to allow the council to carry out road works. On April 10, New Road from its junction with Ivy lane to where it meets with Station Hill will be closed for four days. During this time, Wiltshire Council will undertake road resurfacing and other works. Drivers are urged to take the Ivy Lane, Bridge Centre, Bath Road, The Bridge and the unaffected lengths of New Road and vice versa. The closure and diversion routes will however be clearly signposted. A spokesman for the council said access for residents and businesses will be maintained where possible.
