BERGENFIELD The borough will open its own COVID-19 testing site for residents beginning Monday.
The testing site is located at 1 South Washington Ave., inside the former Payless Shoes store, and will be open by appointment only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the borough said. Use of the storefront is donated by the Winifred and George Pitkin Foundation, which owns the property.
The testing will be overseen by the borough in collaboration with the Bergenfield Board of Health, and testing is provided by Dr. Wesley Thek and his staff from the AM/PM Walk-In Urgent Care Center.
