Alberta dignitaries marked the death of Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth, by remembering the Duke of Edinburgh’s visits to the province and long-time commitment to public service.
Buckingham Palace announced Philip’s death, at the age of 99, Friday morning at Windsor Castle.

Premier Jason Kenney said in a statement he was saddened to hear the news, adding when Philip came to Alberta he was greeted by cheering crowds.
