Festa Italiana in Milwaukee canceled for a second year due to COVID-19 A second major ethnic festival in Milwaukee has been called off for the second year in a row. Festa Italiana will not take place again in 2021, the Italian Community Center Board of Directors announced in a press release Friday, due to ongoing complications from the coronavirus pandemic. “COVID-19 has impacted virtually every business and industry across the country. Around the world festivals, sporting events, conferences, and community celebrations have been canceled, or postponed, due to lingering effects of this virus,” Joe Emanuele, president of the Italian Community Center and Festa director, said in a statement. “Unfortunately, Festa Italiana in Milwaukee is among the festivals that will have to wait until next year.”
