Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson rebailed following arrest in corruption probe
Mayor and four other men were arrested earlier this month

Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson has been rebailed until February after he was arrested earlier this month. Mayor Anderson was arrested on suspicion of bribery and witness intimidation by Merseyside Police, who also arrested four other men as as part of an investigation into building and development contracts in Liverpool - known as Operation Aloft.
He was initially released on police bail until today.
Merseyside Police today confirmed that the city leader - and the four other men arrested - have been rebailed until February 19 2021.
