STARKE, Fla. – The man accused of shooting two women and a 4-year-old girl in Times Square last week will face a Bradford County judge Thursday.
Muhammad said he still doesn’t understand what’s going on. He also told the reporter he was not in New York City at the time of the shooting and talked about his arrest Wednesday at the McDonald’s in Starke.
“We went over, the reason we was by the McDonald’s was we went to go check out an apartment. There was a home over there we was trying to buy. There was a Confederate flag up there. He said no women could stay there. That is why we didn’t get it,” Muhammad said. “We parked by McDonald’s so we could eat McDonald’s real quick and that’s what happened.”

STARKE, Fla. - The man suspected of shooting and wounding three people in New York’s Times Square, including a 4-year-old girl, will get a few days to consider extradition from Florida.
At a brief hearing Thursday in Starke, Florida, a judge gave Farrakhan Muhammad several days to consult with a lawyer on whether he will waive a full extradition hearing and agree to return to New York.

The man suspected of shooting and wounding three people in New York’s Times Square, including a 4-year-old girl, said in a television interview that he did not know anything about it and had been in New Jersey at the time.
Farrakhan Muhammad spoke to WCJB -TV at a county jail in Florida, where he was in custody after being arrested Wednesday.
“I left New York a few days ago . I was in (New) Jersey in a hotel,” Muhammad said. He said he went to Florida to live with his girlfriend’s relatives after being evicted.
