Teachers are still on-site at schools around St Vincent and the Grenadines but not in their usual capacity.
At an emergency shelter in St Vincent and the Grenadines, 35 displaced children have found themselves under a team of teacher-volunteers working to shield them from the emotional stress caused by the La Soufriere volcano.
Wendy Bynoe, who is a Shelter manager and vice president of the Caribbean Union of Teachers (CUT), spoke to Loop News Caribbean about the work the team has been putting in to ensure these young ones are not just fed but also shown love.
