weste wendell goaler asked jay carney about this. he said they ve seen great regulatory reform that he says reduced costs can. all right, shannon. thanks so much. now to our nation s capital where the debt ceiling deadline, guess what, it s looming again. now word some lawmakers may be trying to tie the battle over the spending limit to legislation on the keystone pipeline and even an adjustment to obamacare, which could set the stage for yet another showdown. mike emanuel is live on capitol hill. any idea what republicans will try to get out of extending this debt limit? reporter: well, gretchen, lawmakers say they re looking for consensus in terms of republicans trying to come together on one agreement. one you mentioned was the idea of making sure there s no taxpayer-funded bailouts for obamacare. another idea is pushing the administration to build the keystone xl pipeline as part of
congressman, gerald connolly, a proposed legislation to reform the way federal government buys information technology. administration officials say they will consider the healthcare.gov to be successful if 80% of the people that try and enroll online have a positive experience. republicans say that would never be considered successful in the private sector. wendell, the president has a lot on his plate. clearly, this is one of the big agenda eyitems. today, he addressed another one. where did he go? reporter: the president is trying to make sure that all the attention over the fault he health care website doesn t overshadow the rest of his agenda. so he hopped in the motorcade, the beast, and traveled a short ways away to the national mall where a group called fast for families is trying to push the republican-led house to schedule a vote on immigration reform. the president told them it is no the a question of whether

but there are secret service agents all over the white house. it s massively protected, as you can imagine. trace: brett, stand by for us. just to update people on breaking news in d.c. right now. we re told that a woman with a baby in her car in a black sedan, tried to ram the white house gate and then she took police on high-speed chase, rammed a barricade, was forced off the road by a number of police squad cars. as she got another of the car she opened fire. we do not know the type of weapon and we do not know exactly how many people may have been wounded. this all arm originated at the white house. wendell has more information on this. and we are still waiting for a news conference from capitol hill police. we see the microphones. if that news conference starts we ll jump about. the president s aides are in
