A crowd of 30,000 Six60 fans are expected at Sky Stadium for the band’s Wellington concert. The show is one of a number of big events to coincide with good weather over the coming weekend.
On the back of busy Wellington Anniversary and Waitangi weekends, the good times are set to roll on with fine weather and top-notch events on the way. The capital is set for another purple patch this weekend with tens of thousands of people having marked Chinese New Year celebrations, a concert by Kiwi band Six60 and the Wine and Food Festival on their calendars. of events happening all around the city – and we remind
everyone to use public transport where possible, drive safe,
drive sober, and let’s all help make summer
unstoppable.
From Six60 at Sky Stadium, to Chinese New
Year festivities on the waterfront, cricket at the Basin
Reserve, Valentine’s Day celebrations, and the Wellington
Wine and Food Festival in Waitangi Park, locals and out of
towners will be heading to town for one or more of these
events.
