One of Bristol s most famous pubs has been taken on by new owners who are carrying out a £500,000 renovation ahead of its reopening.
1/1 ‘ENTHUSIAST new operators’ are being sought to take on the Cross Keys pub at East Marton, near Skipton. The pub and restaurant, which has been empty for more than a year, is alongside the A59 between Skipton and Gisburn, overlooks the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, and is close to the Pennine Way. It is being offered on behalf of the Wellington Pub Company on a new ‘free of tie’ lease, which means the tenant is free to buy beer and other products wherever they like, and not just from a nominated supplier. Alistair McDowell of Ilkley based Atkinson Associates, said: Rarely does a site of this calibre come to the market. This is a very significant opportunity, an appealing property with many attractive features - high capacity bar and dining areas including potential for functions.
