A man who threatened to have a young mother's newborn baby taken off her by blackmailing her with her own naked photos has been sentenced.

This morning Wellington Police arrested a 25-year-old man in relation to the robbery of the Devonshire Road restaurant in Miramar on 10 April.
He has been charged with aggravated robbery and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear in Wellington District Court Wednesday 14 April.
The victim has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home with family.

Crews at New Zealand s Parliament inspect the smashed front doors on January 13 in Wellington. (CNN)A man smashed the glass front doors of New Zealand s Parliament building with an axe early on Wednesday morning, according to authorities in the country.
Police officers were called to the scene in the capital Wellington, and arrested the man without incident, a New Zealand police spokesperson said. The man caused some damage to glass panels but did not attempt to enter the building, the spokesperson said.
The 31-year-old man appeared at the Wellington District Court Wednesday morning for intentional damage and possession of an offensive weapon, the spokesperson said. The motive for the attack is unclear and police declined to comment further, citing the ongoing court case.
