Flooding due to a hailstorm and heavy rain late Wednesday night required the closure of U.S. 34 west of Colo. 257 as well as sections of 9th and 10th streets in downtown Greeley.
As of 11:15 a.m., Wednesday, 16th Street between the U.S 85 Bypass and 7th Avenue, as well as 6th Avenue between 16th Street and 13th Street. The Greeley Recreation Center, 651 10th Avenue, and City Center North, 1001 11th Ave., are both temporarily closed due to flooding. Greenlee said she does not expect either to open Wednesday.
At 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, officers made a traffic stop in the 500 block of S. Hover Street. A woman was arrested for outstanding warrants and a man was arrested for possession of firearm by a previous offender, as well as possession of illegal narcotics.
