I have found that when ChatGPT doesn't have access to the sources it needs to answer a question, it will at least sometimes make up an answer and present it as a definitive fact. Here is my "conversation" with it, while using ChatGPT to identify a quotation that I needed for a research project.
I came across several articles on Luther's humor his wit, his satires, and even his scatology, which one scholar found similar to that of another Renaissance monk and scholar, the comical but filthy genius Rabelais and how this relates to his theology.
