Hi, folks! This is the stream of Kurtisciousness. Okay, I don t know if that s going to be the name for this little, five-minute weekly video thing that I m going to do for Townhall VIP from here on in, but I think it kind of sums up what we re going to do. I m just going to talk about stuff that s on my mind. And what s on my mind now is Republicans who suck!
Let s start with Liz Cheney. Why is Liz Cheney still in the leadership? She got a pass early on when she completely betrayed us by joining the Democrats in voting for impeachment because Muh! insurrection, which on a scale of one to ten, insurrection-wise, it was like a -43, okay? I was in the Los Angeles riots, which Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) helped fuel, and, of course, Liz Cheney has no problems with Maxine Waters. She s the person reaching acros

than i d like to see. i do think if you talk to people now, there s a sense of foreboding, sense the wheels are coming off, the mueller investigation is moving ahead, the white house is in disarray, trump did badly in the election, the elections last month. the economy, the stock market s down for the year. seems to be i ve been hoping, one hopes for a magic moment where the scales fall from the eyes and, or the timidity falls from the soul and people step forth courageously. maybe it happens a little more incrementally. i think the crack, you can see the cracks in the support for trump. i ve got to read you about what happened to you over the weekend and your friends take no glee in this. you ended up on the president s twitter feed. this was vis-a-vis the closing of the weekly standards. the weekly standard run by failed prognosticator, bill kristol, never had a clue, is flat broken out of business, too bad, may it rest in peace. just to remind our viewers what
could tell you quickly what they needed. the question is whether we have the stomach to do what it takes to win the war against isis. coming up on morning joe, extended conversation with republican presidential candidate ted cruz. also, former head of homeland security tom ridge, the weekly standards, bill crystal and washington post reporter. up next, from the counsel on foreign relations, richard hass here at the table. you re watching morning joe. we ll be right back. ok, we re here. here s dad. mom. the twins. aunt alice. you didn t tell me aunt alice was coming. of course. don t forget grandpa. can the test drive be over now? maybe just head back to the dealership? don t you want to meet my family? yep, totally.
weekly standards bill krystal calls the poll, quote, bogus, but clearly there are signs that the democrats may be in a better position in parts of the country that we thought were given republican. you know, that is certainly the case. and democrats should actually be hoping that these more extreme candidates end up doing better in the primaries, because it only helps these democratic candidates, because they can then pick up some of these republicans, mainly business minded republicans who feel they have nowhere else to go, because their only option is so extreme. this is evidence, though, that the tea party is still alive and well. they are very passionate about the things they believe in, and as jonathan was pointing to, we see the folks that vote in the primaries tend to be more on the extreme, which is why we re seeing mainstream candidates like mitch mcconnell being polled to the far right, but i promise you the minute he ends up i m guessing he ll end up
