Recent survey data shows many Louisiana residents would not accept a COVID-19 vaccine if made available to them.
Carnegie Mellon University’s Delphi Lab gathered the survey data via Facebook. The figures reflect how people feel about receiving vaccinations by state and county, or county-equivalent in Louisiana’s case. Respondents were asked if they would definitely or probably choose to get vaccinated if offered immediately.
Several Louisiana parishes ranked among the lowest in the country, with Terrebonne recording the lowest figure at 48 percent. For Ascension Parish, the percentage was 60.2. The highest was Arlington County, Virginia, which had 92 percent.
