Super Bowl and chicken wings are paired for life – at least for some people.
The National Chicken Council released its annual Chicken Wing Report – yes, there really is a Chicken Wing Report – before Super Bowl LIV last year. It predicted Americans would consume a record-breaking 1.4 billion chicken wings during the game.
Odds are, the numbers will be greater this year, as most football fans nosh from takeout on the couch.
Super Bowl LV is Feb. 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida (6:30 p.m. on CBS). Defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes and coached by former Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid, will face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by quarterback Tom Brady.
