It’s official: Battlefield 2042 is the next instalment in DICE’s storied multiplayer shooter series. Neither contemporary like Battlefields 3 and 4, nor properly futuristic like Battlefield 2142, 2042 is the first time DICE has dabbled in a near-future setting.
