Three men embroiled in a virtual schools fraud scheme now have pleaded guilty to federal charges. David Webb Tutt, a retired Marengo County football coach; Tom Sisk, former superintendent of Limestone County Schools; and Greg Corkren, who ran a company used to obtain public money for inflated enrollment numbers to the co-conspirators, each changed their plea from not guilty earlier this month. A federal magistrate accepted their changes of plea Thursday. In a virtual hearing, Tutt’s lawyer said that Tutt had agreed to cooperate with prosecutors and testify against remaining defendants if needed.
