Jury selection to begin this week in murder cases

Two murder cases are scheduled in to appear in the Webb County District Courts this week.
Jury selection is scheduled to begin in the 111th District Court in the case of Norberto Adame. He is charged with one count of murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
At about 2 a.m. in November 2018, police officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired between the 800 block of Olive Street and the intersection of McClelland Avenue and Travis Street.
As officers were en route, Lesther Julian Castro Jr. called police saying he and his friend had been shot at. Authorities identified his friend as Jose Jesus Martinez.
