A man has been rescued after getting stuck some way off the ground following a fall from a height at a construction site in Hadleigh where 170 new homes are being built.
An air ambulance, Suffolk firefighters and specialist rescue teams were called to the Persimmon Homes site off Ellen Aldous Avenue at 2.32pm today to rescue the man who is thought to have suffered a broken ankle.
An air ambulance and land ambulance arrived soon after.
The man is believed to have fallen from a height and was stuck some way off the ground for well over an hour, requiring a specialist team to be called in to rescue him.

The possibility was revealed at Belfast Crown Court during a brief hearing of the case of Elizabeth Lily Mulholland, who is accused, along with eight others, of a construction industry VAT fraud.
The 66-year-old is one of the directors of Kelly s Cellars, one of the city s oldest bars and famed for its links to the United Irishmen.
Mulholland, of the Cavehill Road in north Belfast, is charged with converting criminal property valued at £1,168,060 between June 2010 and March 2012.
