Gulf low produces severe weather threat today

A Tornado Watch has been issued for central and eastern counties of the Panhandle until 1 p.m. CDT/2 p.m. EDT. Isolated, spin-up tornadoes will be possible in these locations throughout the morning and into the early afternoon. Have MULTIPLE ways to receive warnings. Today's storm threats across northwest Florida include damaging winds, spin-up tornadoes and localized flash flooding.

Wednesday weather trending wetter, drier conditions return Friday

A upper level low will likely develop in the Gulf of Mexico today. So far, we're off to a dry start, but wetter weather is expected later in the day as scattered showers move from the Gulf over the Panhandle. There is a low end severe risk for Thursday from the morning to the afternoon. Flash flooding and spin-up tornadoes will be possible.

Easter weekend rain chances, unsettled pattern

A front will stall over the weekend and bring rain chances from Friday night through Easter Sunday. Saturday will have showers around all day, so some locations could be mostly wet on Saturday while others could be mostly dry on Saturday. Today will be warm and humid again. We could even see a location or two hit 90°. A couple pop-up showers or storms will be possible through the late morning and afternoon hours.

Warm end to the work week, cooler & wetter weekend pattern

A front will stall over the weekend and bring rain chances from Friday night through Easter Sunday. Saturday will have showers around all day, so some locations could be mostly wet on Saturday while others could be mostly dry on Saturday. Along with the rain chances over the weekend, temperatures will be much cooler than we've experienced lately. Temperatures will fall from the 80s Thursday and Friday to only 70s for highs on Saturday and 60s from Sunday to Monday.

Cool and comfortable today, warming to end the week

Yesterday's cold front has cleared to our south, but clouds will still hang around for today. Cooler air has come in from the north/northeast, and temperatures will only climb into the low 70s at most. The cooldown will last just one day as return flow with winds out of the southeast occurs on Thursday.
