More rains for Kerala, heavier showers in parts

Rains will now shift to the central parts including Kochi, Thrissur and adjoining areas. Rainfall will be heavier over these areas but showers will still be seen in other parts of the state as well.

A cyclonic circulation, starting from South Central Bay of Bengal may reach over the coastal parts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, between 28th and 31st July. The system may not penetrate deep over land but the peripheral confluence over the state of Kerala may provide satisfactory showers to break the jinx of dry spell.

Weak monsoon conditions are possible over South Peninsula

Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Telangana and Tamil Nadu will witness isolated rainfall until June 29. Thereafter, rain activities are expected to revive over South Peninsula. By the end of June, rain deficiency of South India may increase further, however, we expect decent rainfall during first week of July over South Peninsula.

Kerala rains have made a weakest start amidst buzz of good monsoon. These are early days and turn around later can not be ruled out.
