if people can look at this map right now the area in red and the area also with the lines, the yellow and white lines there, those are areas right now where the russian troops are operating or in control. moonfish saying those are the areas it s hard for ukrainian force toss control the air but everywhere else the ukrainian air force in control. let me ask you the russian minister of defense has said that weapons convoys, the weapons, the material being sent by the west to ukraine will now be targeted inside ukraine. can you keep that from happening? as the air force we do can because the main tool he probably is referring to are those cruise missiles that can shoot all over the territory of ukraine. just yesterday afternoon, yesterday evening, we had a pretty massive air strike, they
europe, pledging by the end of this year they will be able to wean themselves off two thirds of russian gas. whether they can do that still remains to be seen, but what we are looking at here is a decoupling, a decoupling of the russian economy and energy from europe, it s a significant follow-on by-product of this whole war. this will hurt russia, too. russia won t get the revenue from poland and bulgaria. as i was waking up this morning getting both of these pieces of information, you can see it on the map here, this is ukraine right here, this is poland, this is bulgaria, this is where the strikes are. all of a sudden this is expanding. water in ukraine is expanding in different ways, but it s expanding beyond the borders. it s a good point. we have tended to think of the expansion of this war purely in military terms, right? could it be possible that russia might strike, say, weapons convoys coming from poland inside nato territory?
weapons convoys, if not actual military targets? i think there are indications of that. some of this, like russian tv. even though these talk shows seem kind of crazy. they re used as trial balloons. and one person will say something and the kremlin is constantly polling and looking at how people react to these shows. and they can release a little trial balloon about nato. and then it could grow. and then be repeated. so i think there is aer erconce of truth in what you re saying. i don t know where it could go but it could develop that way. it could go as one man on another show, i think it was the same person said, what are we fighting again? what is it called? and they had to remind him. special military operation. but the thing is, it is war. but if russian defines it as war, then aware in a very big
military troops and all the reinforcements that are needed throughout the last 24 hours. we heard a long kind of steady drum beat of bombardment throughout the night. it is clear there seems to be a great deal of activity down along that edge of that city. and the question for these residents now is, is it something that, as russian forces are reinvigorating their push in the east, is this going to happen on this other side of the russian occupied areas. and that s the question that so many people in that city are fearful of right now. no question. russia this week said to formal protests, and what appeared to be a veiled threat with the shipments to the ukraine military. is russia building a case to begin attacking u.s. and nato weapons convoys? i think they re definitely concerned they could attack them. so far they ve been
