bill: hi, i m bill o reilly. thanks for watching us tonight. speaker john boehner, catholic university and a big controversy. that is the subject of this evening s talking points memo. speaker boehner is set to give the commencement address to catholic u in washington this coming saturday. but 79 college professors around the country have signed a letter opining that mr. boehner is not upholding catholic moral teachings. professors say that because the speaker supports budget cuts that might impact poor people, including women and children that he is, quote, antilife and not upholding catholic theology. mr. boehner himself is a catholic and replied this way. like any religion you will have some who are a little bit more liberal and some are a bit more conservative, but i believe that the actions that have taken during my years of congress uphold the values of my faith. bill: now i, your humble

i m not going to repudiate it now even though it didn t do it. i was one of the pundits that told them to knicks the whole romney care idea in massachusetts. i m one of the people he is talking about. look, i like mitt romney i think is he a smart guy and i think he would be a good president. a lot of the people who might be running would be a good president. on this, i don t get it bill, costs are gone up. wildly unpopular. bill: it s not saying it turned out well. all is he saying is that he thought it might. right. i know he thought it might. but just say, look, i more than anyone know that this going down this road is a disaster. i tried, i tried my best. it didn t work. okay? bill: that s what i would say. i don t want us going down this road. he is still trying to if i necessary it he doesn t want to do a total may mea culpa. i think it makes common sense to do that. bill: look, we tried to do our best on it we thought it might work. it didn t work. i learned my lesso
