americans still in afghanistan. joining me now is republican congressman adam kinzinger of illinois, he serves on the foreign affairs committee and is, of course, himself a veteran of the afghan war. thank you for taking the time this morning. thank you. i wonder, given the back and forth on the number of or estimates of the number of americans still in afghanistan, are you kconfident that the bidn administration knows how many americans are still there? i don t know. you know, i don t know if they know the number, if they re, you know, kind of intentionally skewing that. it has been very strange that we keep hearing, and this is bipartisan, this is not some, you know, attack on the administration, bipartisan level, we re hearing that constantly on the one hand you hear something from dod, something different from department of state, and some of these groups, you know that are these veterans groups working these issues, you know, will come to us and say, look, state
control of bagram air force base in perpetuity. we built for it, paid for it, we keep it. then came joe biden, self-proclaimed foreign policy expert, and his clueless advisors, pushing the withdrawal date to august, pete taliban fighting season. biden did nothing as the taliban terrorist began what was a full-scale assault on our allies, and they began a march that led them to taking control of kabul. april, then may, june, july, then august, and instead of fighting back at any point, pushing back on the taliban and put holding them accountable, as donald trump said he would, bidn ordered a full-scale retreat, abandoning base after base in the middle of the night, leaving weapons and aircraft and military gear, important biometrics data behind, all for

chairs are filled. tony tells me they can see 400 clients in a week. we step back outside. that is what the bidn administration is counting on. they have a wide reach and that they have the conversation. he says that s a very hot topic in here right now. what this initiative is going to do, it s going to partner with 1,000 barber shops and beauty shops and have people display information about the vaccine and possibly host some vaccine events inside the barber and beauty salons. the big question is, the goal is to reach african-american communities, the african-american community, which we know has been disproportionally impacted by the pandemic. the vaccine rates still remain lower than the average. the big question, why barber shops, beauty salons? i think a lot of people would know this. this is a gathering space. this is a gathering location in the black community. tony called it our living room,
