WAYNESBORO School isn t even out for the year, but Waynesboro is already looking ahead to the start of the 2021-22 school year.
Ryan Barber, the school division s executive director of student services, told the Waynesboro School Board Tuesday night about the planned Back to School Bash scheduled for this summer.
It s been an event in the works for the last couple of years, although the pandemic didn t allow it to happen last summer. We have a community that struggles at times at back to school, Barber said. Because when you, as a family, are asked to buy shoes and then get a haircut and they want the latest clothing and book bags and supplies and scissors and glue, it can be a significant burden on families.
