Those who survived are finally getting the help that they need. Food, water and medical supplies have started getting to areas that were completely cut off by the storm. The u. S. Military is now dropping food and water to survivors in the area. But more than 1,000 people are still missing. Some 4 Million People are homeless. First lets tell you about an attack in afghanistan where more than 2,000 afghan elders will meet in kabul. Theyll vote on the future of u. S. Troops in afghanistan. The u. S. Mastercard, cisco, marriott, pepsi, caterpillar and Major League Baseball all expressed interest in doing business here. It wont happen overnight, but cubans here in havana are just as eager. In terms of u. S. Relations, its been 54 years that theyve been frozen in time. For all any cuban can tell, detroit hasnt made a car since 1961. Chevys and fords familiar to eisenhower and sinatra live forever thanks to a uniquely cuban industry, counterfeiting new parts from designs of the 50s. Nearly everyone in havana is ready to move on. The average cuban is ecstatic. Theyre euphoric. They believe that this is a new beginning for cuba.
