KOHIMA The highly anticipated All India K-Pop Contest 2023 Kohima Regional Round was finally held at The Heritage, Old DC Bungalow in Kohima on Thursday. The All India K-Pop Contest is a competition held every year by the Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI), which is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Korea in India, together with regional organisers from cities across the country. Competitions on singing, dancing and performances by various guest artistes enthralled the wave of fans that turned out at the event which was presented by LG. DIMAPUR The Korean Cultural Centre India on April announced that the upcoming K-Pop India Contest 2023 is being held in celebration of 50 years of diplomatic ties between Korea and India. The contest will be held with three rounds of competition in India, an update stated. The first round is the online audition round and the second round is the regional round. This year, the regional rounds will be held in 11 cities across India, namely, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Kohima, Lucknow and Mumbai. The winners from the regional rounds will later move on to compete at the National round, which is The K-Pop India Contest 2023 grand finale, and the winners of the national round will get a chance to participate and compete at the KPOP World Festival in South Korea.
