Wauwatosa police are investigating after a Wauwatosa home was hit with gunfire early Sunday morning.
The homeowners, who live on the 2300 block of North 67th Street, said 18 shots were fired, according to a social media post.
Police first found numerous casings after they were assisting the Wauwatosa Fire Department on a call. While on scene, they located numerous casings and a home that had been struck by gunfire, Wauwatosa police public information officer Abby Pavlik said in an email.
The residents of the home were not home, and there were no injuries.
But police think the shots occurred at around 2 a.m., based on a call the department received at that time about loud noises/fireworks.
