Investigators say the suspect was armed with a rifle and threatened the children in the home. Police have not identified the officer or the suspect. In south carolina, the jury has the case of a white Police Officer accused of shooting and killing a black man. Officer Michael Slager shot and killed walter scott after he ran from a traffic stop in april of 2015. During closing arguments yesterday, slagers defense team told the jury a guilty verdict would send the wrong message to law enforcement.
