Franklin s McConnell House to evolve into cultural center

Historic Owen-Primm House in Brentwood saved from demolition

Nashville Tennessean Just weeks after Brentwood officials pleaded for a unicorn buyer to save the city s endangered Owen-Primm House, the home was purchased by a preservation-minded buyer, according to the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County. While the buyer hasn t yet been publicly named, they have committed to saving and restoring the house, barn and five acres of property, foundation officials said. “Core to our countywide mission, this is a perfect example of how developers and the Heritage Foundation work together for the betterment of the community, said Heritage Foundation CEO Bari Watson Beasley in a news release.  The house s demolition was pending after a permit to tear down the structure was filed on Dec. 14. But since the property was more than 75 years old, demolition was automatically postponed for 90 days, per municipal code.
