young man has been dead. his body was foundext to that of a smaller dog. it was also apparently mauled to death. emotion ran high as family members converged on plaza street northeast. one man was wrestled to the ground and briefly detained by police. eventually everyone calmed down. a 20-year-old was found dead in the house. he may have been killed trying to protect a smaller dog from two larger ones, believed to be pit bulls or a pit bull mix. we received a call about 2:00 p.m. this afternoon from a concerned family member of the victim and they could not reach him. they realized that the vehicle was here, and i think they were trying to look in the windows and determine, you know, that something didn t look right. reporter: neighbors say they d never seen the dogs running loose or misbehaving. i live right over there. it s kind of scary. i don t know if i would blame it on the pit bull. i think a lot of it has to do with the ownership. i can t say what went on or any
