Developer IDA London Holdings is seeking to replace the former RBS bank site in the town centre with a building of 103 flats. The development site is on the corner of Clarendon Road and the ring road, opposite Watford Palace Theatre. Neighbours have received letters informing them of the possible development and an online consultation has been set up ahead a formal planning application, which is yet to be submitted.

First reports declared dynamic duo Watford FC manager Graham Taylor and wheelchair-bound Scot Neil McDonald of Kytes Drive, Watford, victorious. But the football club’s explosive talent Luther Blissett and his partner Brian Hunter disputed their win. Eventually the only solution was a play-off, and Luther and Brian, 42, who works as a payroll officer at Rolls-Royce and lives on the Kytes estate, won the day.

The co-producers of the upcoming contemporary digital adaptation of the Oscar Wilde classic,
The Picture of Dorian Gray, have announced that they will be offering a cross-curriculum educational pack for teachers, lecturers and students that will be available throughout the production’s run from 16-31 March, as well as available by request for dates following the run.
The education pack, which includes a link to the performance, will be available in both English and Welsh and will provide insight into the process of creating this unusual production through interviews and blogs from a variety of the creative team, from the adaptation of the novel to the filming.
