BELFAST Waldo County General Hospital has welcomed Shannon Axelson, CNM, who recently joined the WCMP Women’s Health department and began seeing patients in early April. Before joining WCGH, Axelson saw patients at Waterville Women’s Care in Waterville.
She also has seen patients at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta and at the Gallup Indian Medical Center on the border of the Navajo Reservation in Gallup, New Mexico. Axelson earned her master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and her bachelor’s degree from Salem State College in Salem, Massachusetts.
