Heavyweight life science developer Alexandria Real Estate Equities has a deal in place to buy the Watertown Mall, according to four real estate industry executives familiar with the deal. The sale has not closed, and thus could yet fall through, but if it goes through, the deal would represent the latest burst in an explosion of life sciences development along Arsenal Street in Watertown’s East End.

Natural Selections in Watertown now sells marijuana for recreation

Wicked Local  Ethos Cannabis (“Ethos”) has begun adult-use sales at its existing medical dispensary in Watertown, Massachusetts. The dispensary has been operating as a medical-only dispensary under the name “Natural Selections,” since August. It was the first dispensary open in Watertown for medical cannabis sales and is now the first to open for adult-use sales. The dispensary will continue to operate seven days a week and provide service to both medical patients and adult-use customers. The dispensary has just introduced a wide assortment of high quality cannabis flower grown in the Ethos cultivation center in Fitchburg, as well as products from well-known brands like Happy Valley, Incredibles, and ACS. The current menu showcases multiple strains of flower that cover a wide range of profiles.
