WATERTOWN — As previously requested, the Watertown City School District Board of Education received a presentation Tuesday night on graduation pathways for students.
WATERTOWN â During Tuesday nightâs Watertown City School District Board of Education meeting, Watertown High School principal Chad Fairchild presented the board with the plan for the graduation of the Class of 2021 and other efforts to make the end of the year memorable for seniors.
The first way the district hopes to connect with seniors and get them ready and excited for graduation is through yard signs that it purchased for each of the 230 graduating seniors. The signs were delivered to homes by 26 staff and faculty volunteers Wednesday in order to give a personal touch.
The next treat for seniors comes in the form of a trip to Six Flags Darien Lake on June 12, with no cost to students for transportation, a meal and access to rides. The following Monday, June 14, will be a Class Day celebration if itâs not raining, where seniors can gather together outside to throw frisbees, listen to music, play cornhole, and engage in a number of safe, outdoor activities, as wel

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Three people will be on the ballot for three vacant seats on the Watertown City School District Board of Education.
Candidates on the May 18 ballot will be Ammbrose Souza, Lorie Converse, and Rande Richardson.
Each seat is for a three-year term that begins July 1.

WATERTOWN â During its meeting last week, the Watertown City School District Board of Education approved a proposed 2021-22 budget of $78,377,057.
Following a budget hearing on May 4, this budget will be voted on by taxpayers on May 18.
The proposed budget is up about $1.37 million from the previous yearâs budget. Within the next few weeks, the district will be sending out a newsletter with details on the budget, encouraging community members to tune into the virtual budget hearing.
The hearing will be conducted via Zoom at 5:30 p.m. May 4 prior to the districtâs Board of Education meeting to go through the details of the budget for the community ahead of the budget vote on May 18. Meeting link details will be available on the districtâs website.
