Waterloo region reports 8 more deaths, 94 new cases of COVID-19 ahead of lockdown
Region of Waterloo Public Health reported 94 new cases of COVID-19 and eight more deaths on Wednesday. About 155 people have died from the virus in the region since March.

4 new COVID-related deaths reported in Waterloo region, 90 new cases
Four more people have died after testing positive for COVID-19, public health reports. There were also 90 new cases reported in the region.

Waterloo region saw 88 new cases of COVID-19 reported on Friday and another person s death has been linked to the virus.(Evan Mitsui/CBC) comments
There were 88 new reported cases of COVID-19 in Waterloo region on Friday, along with one more death linked to the virus.
That brings the total number of new cases in December to 1,241 and since March, to 4,827.
There were 519 active cases in the region on Friday with 36 people in hospital and 10 of those people in the intensive care unit.
Dr. Hsiu-Li Wang, the region s medical officer of health, said case rates remain high and we are at risk for further increases.
