Wike, receiving CP Eboka at Government House, Port Harcourt, told him, “I will never come to you to say Mr. CP go and do what is illegal. I will never come to you to say so and so person is my friend, he was arrested for kidnapping, so release him. In fact, I’ll even say take him away. Because if I support the person who is kidnapping, it may be my turn tomorrow, I won’t always be governor.

Share Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has charged the new Police Commissioner (CP) posted to the state to avoid politics and stay within his professional mandate to fight crime without fear or favour. The Governor gave the charge when the new Commissioner of Police, Mr Friday Eboka paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Port Harcourt, on Friday. Citing the abduction of over 300 schoolgirls in Zamfara State, on Friday, the governor said there is so much criminality in the society and professional police officers should not abandon their duties of doing their best in protecting life and property for any other interest.

Gov Wike Gets Nod For Two More Flyovers In Port Harcourt × Gov Wike Gets Nod For Two More Flyovers In Port Harcourt .As Executive Council Approves N12.4B Rivers State Executive Council has approved the award of two contracts for the construction of two additional flyover bridges in Port Harcourt City at the cost of N12.4 billion. One of the flyover bridges will be at the intersection of Olu-Obasanjo Road and Port Harcourt Aba Expressway popularly called Waterlines Junction , and it will be 800 meters long. And the other flyover bridge will be at the intersection of Olu-Obasanjo and Ikwerre Road up to the Azikiwe Street and will be 1KM long.
