CHARLOTTE, N.C. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Detectives say the victim in the east Charlotte homicide has been identified as 25-year-old Abdulkhaleq Juhaish.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Detectives say they are investigating a homicide in east Charlotte after finding one victim dead at the scene on Friday.
Officers say they responded to a call for service before 8 p.m. on February 19th on Waterford Ridge Drive to find a victim unresponsive inside a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
Police say anyone with more information is asked to call 704-432-TIPS to speak directly with a Homicide Unit detective or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a homicide after a man was killed in east Charlotte.
The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday night on the 7600 block of Waterford Ridge Drive, near the Waterford Creek Apartments.
Police initially referred to the death as “suspicious,” before upgrading it to a homicide.
When officers arrived, they found 25-year-old Abdulkhaleq Juhaish inside a vehicle, originally unresponsive, but later found to have an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.
