As a Beechwood Estates homeowner, I am writing to express my continued concern about Waterford’s Planning and Zoning Commission’s upcoming decision about Fabcon’s Special Permit. The industrialization of Waterford Parkway South presents significant threats to our safety and that of drivers who travel Cross Road around the Interstate 95 intersections. In the published traffic study, most analyses for Level of Service are degraded, including one that results in “F” (poor travel time, greater accident exposure). The approval of the Special Permit does NOT support Waterford’s Plan of Preservation, Conservation and Development. It is, in fact, markedly inconsistent with the strategies to preserve open space and enhance community character and quality of life.
