The Lakeland, Florida school, which boasts the largest single-site collection of Wright buildings in the world, is set to open the program in fall of 2025.
LAKELAND Arjeet Tipirneni and his classmates didn’t know if they would ever experience the rituals of a college graduation.
Tipirneni graduated from Florida Southern College last spring with a degree in biology. Like many colleges and universities, Florida Southern College canceled its spring 2020 commencement event as the COVID-19 pandemic raged through the country.
Tipirneni, the class president, and his fellow graduates were deprived of the experiences that bring a sense of culmination and finality to the college years. But he and about 125 other members of the Class of 2020 returned this week to have their own commencement events in parallel with those of this spring’s graduates.
