so mf of us. the tom petty channel every day in the car. so thank you for the music. talk a little bit and reflect, you can, about the birth of the band, working alongside a genius and what it s been like all these years to rise up to be one of greatest bands in the history of music. the band came together out of the ashes of another band that drove out of florida. and it was a bunch there was nobody in the band that hadn t come from the same hometown. everybody knew everybody. and it was pretty much very quickly felt just like family. had the privilege of watching tom and mike grow into who they became because i worked with them since i was 19 and tom was maybe 21 and mike as well. so i got the privilege of watching them grow into who they were as writers and performers. i had the joy of being in a band
have in common? for me, i look at tom he s such an icon and how he s able to do what he does time and time again and year on year. i don t think enough people can appreciate that. it is understandable because tom is the only one in his sport that does that. i look to him for inspirations if terms of how can i do that and how can i raise my bar each year and how can i be a better teammate? those are things i learned from watching tom. a couple of things we have in common is that secret, that focus and drive to be better than you are yesterday. precision. there you go. attention to details. attention to details, man. can you relate to that? it is amazing as i become a fan of lewis over the years watching him compete.
learned from watching tom. and i think what we have in common is that shear grit and focus that drive to be better year. you know, better than you were yesterday. and precision. there you go. attention to detail. yeah, the precision, man it s whoa! can you relate to that? i think as i have become a fan of f-1 and watching lewis compete, it s ultimate team work. everyone thinks it s just lewis and the car. he recognizes it s everyone behind the scenes that are allowing him to be successful as well. and i have seen him when he wins and he gives credit to everyone. and i have seen it when he loses, you know, how he doesn t, there s never blame associated with it too. so i feel like our best moments in life come when we are facing, you know, our most difficult challenges. both of you, iconic, high level of operation for a decade or more. so, right, what keeps you going? what drives you?
