It appears comments tweeted by American rapper and producer T-Pain a few days ago that music producers should be given more recognition than artists, have struck a chord with at least two of Jamaica’s biggest Dancehall producers.
Last week Sunday T-Pain, who is known for popularizing Auto-Tune, took to Twitter to state said that he believes producers deserve more credit than they receive, and that music lovers should give all the accolades to producers for making the beats to the songs they find endearing.
“The producers are the ones that deserve all the clout because y’all really don’t be liking these songs, y’all really just like the beats,” he tweeted. “When you hear a certain producer’s tag, you don’t give a fuck who’s on it because you know you gon like the beat. Give them they flowers fr,” he tweeted, and as reported by HotNewHipHop.
