Nery made a somewhat uninspiring debut at 122 lbs last September, not exactly shining but winning the then-vacant WBC belt. Figueroa last fought on the same card, stopping Damien Vazquez in 10.
The Nery-Figueroa winner is already set for a unification date with WBO titlist Stephen Fulton Jr in September, which will also air on Showtime.
