SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A new campaign launched by WasteWise Lane County aims to reduce commercial food waste in Springfield, according to county officials.
WasteWise Lane County and Toolbox Project are holding a workshop to encourage residents to bring in their old stuff to fix, rather than throwing it away.
Food Waste Prevention Week kicks off next Monday and will include social media-based activities and educational outreach at local grocery stores, organizers said.
