that it is glaring in this investigation and this is another departure of what was roled out about a meeting about russian adoption. and it wasn t that. and what do you think, does this show that any attempt as of now to conclude there was no collusion might be premature because we still don t have all of the fakes? well there is no evidence of collusion correct. which is difference than evidence of no collusion. and what i think this changes is half of the conclusion coming out of the house intelligence chitty report which both said we have no evidence of collusion, but the trump campaign did things that were bad judgment and sketchy, but there is no proof they colluded. but also sort of makes the case, we have no proof that putin wanted to engage. and things like this that suggest the second part is incomplete. there is evidence that strongly suggests that putin was interested in meddling in our
criminal term. wasn t that, though, a battle inside the fbi whether they use grossly negligent or extremely careless? there is some. he has second guessed that decision but does not regret having the press conference. he talks about his anguish over ten days before the election with that letter to congress when investigators come to him and say, hey, with he found these e-mails on the laptop of anthony weiner, husband of a top hillary clinton aide and he said that there is no doubt in his mind that we had to proceed with the investigation. the decision was do we reveal it or not and he said he erred on the side of transparency despite some disagreement within the building and they went forward. anthony weiner and bill clinton thanks for trump. so that was just a side note. when is this book out? it s out next week. out next week. it s already number one on amazon, donny, which means a lot of people are buying it. yeah. there s interesting tidbits in there, but i don t want
uncontroversial. people on the left and the right think there is a problem with false news, means bad stories, you need to be careful. i don t think that it matters that the material everyone was watching in that incredible array of everybody saying the same thing wasn t that. it would matter if it really gets bad if people simply start publishing or, you know, relaying false news stories on local newscasts because they re ordered to by the central company which has regulatory issues in front of the trump administration and the fcc. i want to talk about the other big story getting a lot of coverage, and that s the school protest. what we saw in west virginia is being replicated in states like oklahoma and arizona. john was saying as we were coming out of commercial break that he doesn t think teachers should ever walk off the job. is there a way for them to do this and maintain leverage if
saying we might get short-term political gains but if we re going to be welcoming, we have to change our tone. the number of people that sort of speak out now is smaller and smaller. yes. because the voters the base voters of the republican party said, you know what, we ve changed we re not going to hold you accountable any more. there is a total flip among the evangelicals. well that is a concern to me as a daughter of a minister. that i think we have to we have to hold our leaders to higher standards. do values standard. absolutely and they should matter. and what is a disqualifier. absolutely. but it wasn t that. it was decades of behaviorme an we re paying attention to issues around sexual assault and it is not the only reason i m running but we need more women at the table talking about these we haven t elected a woman in texas in and whether it is kay bailey or it is amazing there is new
is there a difference between the to memos in. there is a little bit of a difference. remember, none of us knew when it first came out what was going to be in it. i assumed there would be a lot of facts and a lot of sources and potentially methods that were compromised. that memo wasn t that. there were very few facts. it is problematic to release a memo like that because that is part of our national intelligence and security. just releasing anything, in my view, is the wrong thing to do. now that one has been released, the other should go out. it is not a consensus memo. fisas are this big, hundreds of pages. the first page is a three-page summary. what i will say on the democratic memo, be we know it is ten pages. we are led to believe it has a lot more facts. it is plausible there is information in there that the department and the fbi really wants to change the language or figure out how to take a few pieces out. none of us should want anything to go out that compromises
